Technical Committee INCITS/L8 is responsible for the development and coordination of proposed National standards and guidelines which address the representation of data in the form of data elements and the tools necessary for the accomplishment of this work.
INCITS/L8 is the US TAG to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC32 WG2 (Metadata). INCITS/L8 participates in all development and maintenance activities of SC32/WG2. INCITS/L8 makes recommendations to the JTC1 TAG on US positions regarding SC32/WG2.
INCITS/L8 is the US TAG to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC32 WG11 (Binding Techniques) for the ISO/IEC 11404 standard (General Purpose Datatypes, formerly known as Language Independent Datatypes). INCITS/L8 participates in the development and maintenance of the ISO/IEC 11404 standard and its revision. INCITS/L8 makes recommendations to the JTC1 TAG on US positions regarding SC22/WG11.
